If you’re in the market for a premium off-the-shelf spreader beam, we guarantee that global leading specialist Modulift has a solution that suits your lifting requirements, no matter how niche your marketplace is.
Expertly designed by experienced industry professional engineers utilising specialist machinery and techniques, Modulift Spreader Beams are a super lightweight solution that enables your crane(s) to work at maximum capacity by reducing the weight of your below-the-hook lifting tackle.
Versatile and cost-effective, the modular configuration and easily interchangeable components of Modulift Spreader Beams mean that they can be used and reused over an extended period of time for different lifting scenarios - Modulift puts the power in your hands. Should at any point you require a longer span, just contact us and we can arrange the purchase of a single strut length to add to your kit. Available strut lengths for the MOD12 kit are 0.25m, 0.5m, 0.75m, 1m & 1.5m.
Boasting a maximum safe working load limit of 12 Tonnes, the MOD12 Modular Spreader Beam kit consists of a pair of End Units and a pair of Drop Links, with your chosen span made up of interchangeable struts, from 0.25m up to a 1.5m, that are simply bolted into the assembly between the end units – giving you the freedom to shorten or lengthen your assembly at any point to suit different types of lifts.
To order, please select your required span from the drop down menu to the right. Please see the 'Specifications' tab Table 2 for working load limits and STV angles, as well as spreader beam span configurations.
We suggest having the following tools on hand to complete the assembly of your Modulift Spreader Beam: Torque wrench, podger spanner, and ring spanner. Bolt tightening torque is 60Nm, 17mm spanner size is required.
What top sling types are recommended?
At LES, we suggest the use of textile slings, wire rope slings with soft eyes, or chain slings with small end fittings with your Modulift MOD6 Spreader Beam. If thimble eyes are used with your wire rope slings, please ensure that the sling angle is 30 degrees or less. Click the links above to view our available slings.
WARNING: All personnel using this Modulift spreader beam system should be suitably trained, competent, and have a clear understanding of safe slinging procedures. The use of Modulift equipment MUST BE in accordance with 'Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998' (LOLER). NOTE: Please see Specifications/Downloads tab(s) for sling angles and safe working load limits.
