WHAT ARE AXLE STANDS?
Axle stands are used to support the axle of a vehicle, such as a car or van, that has been jacked up off the ground. An axle stand is typically used during maintenance work or repairs, to support a vehicle for an extended period of time. A jack may lose hydraulic pressure if it has to support such a heavy load for an extended period of time, whereas the rigid structure of an axle stand means it can do so without getting damaged.
