WHAT ARE AXLE STANDS?
Axle stands are used to support the axle of a vehicle, such as a car or van, that has been jacked up off the ground. An axle stand is typically used during maintenance work or repairs, to support a vehicle for an extended period of time. A jack may lose hydraulic pressure if it has to support such a heavy load for an extended period of time, whereas the rigid structure of an axle stand means it can do so without getting damaged. Additionally, axle stands are adjustable in height and are usually made of heavy-duty materials like steel, to ensure they can handle heavy loads safely.
WHAT IS A FORKLIFT SUPPORT STAND?
Forklift support stands are a type of axle stand that are meant specifically for supporting a forklift whilst it holds a heavy load. This is to ensure safety, and that the forks of the forklift do not suddenly lower or collapse under the weight of their load.
