Work Restraint Lanyards are intended to restrain the user from the danger of falling
One end is secured to an anchor point far enough away from the risk of falling and the other end is secured to the users harness, this prevents the wearer from being able to access the risk of a fall at height and thus restrains them from danger. Fall restraint lanyards are not intended to arrest a fall and should never be used in this way.
Restraint lanyards can be a simple single leg with karabiners or provide double legs with snap hooks if the user intends to travel along a scaffold for example, there for the user can travel and remain constantly connected via at least one leg of the lanyard while the other is used to secure to the next available point.
