Our dedicated Export Team has the capacity to handle everything from Freight Forwarding to Customs Clearance at your destination. Should your consignment require Specialist Packing such as Custom-Made Pallet Crates that conform to ISPM15 heat-treated wood specifications – you guessed it, we can do it.
We love to do our bit for the environment, therefore, nearly all of our exports are now shipped on Recycled Pressed Wood Pallets, where applicable – one of the many ways that we’re making a difference.

When making a purchase online, we know you always want your goods as quickly as possible. When exporting worldwide, we always send your good using the most efficient mode of transport that budgets permit, to ensure that your products arrive in a timely manner. If we can send it by courier cost-effectively, then rest assured that we will.
HOW DOES AIR FREIGHT WORK?
When we send our consignments by ‘Air Freight’ they usually arrive within 12 – 24 hours from dispatch – it’s pretty easy and our team are happy to walk you through the entire process.
Air Freight usually involves the following: LES dispatches goods via an international air carrier such as British Airways World Cargo or Emirates Sky cargo. The goods then arrive at your local/agreed airport. At this point, the receiving warehouse at the destination airport will contact you to make payment of any duties and taxes, and if applicable, any handling fees. You will then arrange for the cargo to be collected from the airport, using you own domestic courier or transport. Of course, if you’d prefer LES to take care of any domestic onward transport, we can certainly provide upfront costs for this.
Sending goods by Sea Freight is usually applicable for larger consignments or non-urgent shipments, where it’s more cost-effective than air freight or express courier services. Ranging from 2-14 week transit time from the UK, depending on your destination. Sea Freight is a very similar process to air, the goods are delivered to a UK port of loading, then loaded into a shipping container aboard the vessel.
When the final destination port is reached, the clearing agent will make contact with you to provided payment for any duties, taxes, and handling fees, where applicable. You can then arrange onward domestic transport yourself. Or should you prefer LES to take care of this, then we have the capability to supply your goods with door-to-door sea freight, meaning that you will only have to settle any applicable duties and taxes.
CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
- Ask LES the Harmonised System (HS) or Customs Tariff Code for your goods and check this with the local freight forwarder – they should be able to advise you of any local charges that you might encounter when important this type of equipment. Thankfully most of our equipment commands 0% duty in many countries.
- Check with your clearing agent or freight forwarder for any handling or ‘landing’ fees.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
International Returns and Exchanges are always difficult for most companies logistically – at LES, we try to make them as simple as possible. If something purchased from us is deemed faulty upon delivery, or is delivered incorrectly, we will also exchange or rectify the issue with zero cost to the customer.
Due to the nature of our products, we are only able to offer a ‘Return to Base’ type warranty, meaning any warranty repairs (unless otherwise agreed) would have to be performed at our warehouse in the UK. Should you purchase something and wish to return or exchange due to an incorrect item selection, size, or similar, then our Standard Returns and Restocking Policies apply (you can find details in the footer below). Please note that most countries customs allow for duties and taxes to be reclaimed on goods returned to vendors.
