Why an Air Hoist you might ask… Well, air-powered hoists are ideal for any task that requires fast lifting speeds and continuous usage. These types of hoists are powered by a compression air feed, making them the most suitable alternative to electric hoists in scenarios where power sources are limited or dangerous to use.
Additionally, hoists that are powered via compressed air do not have duty cycle limitations. They can continuously operate at 100% until the job is complete.

But that’s not all… here’s a detailed breakdown of all its features, setting it apart from similar items on the market.
Load Limiter: The integral differential load limiting vale automatically prevents operators from attempting to lift loads of more than 125% of the stated working load limit. This innovative load limiter is 100% repeatable at all working pressures and doesn’t wear or generate any sort of damaging heat.
Precise Control: Lever control, pilot pendant, and direct pendant control provides users with variable speed control that’s highly accurate, allowing for precise positioning.
Fail Safe Disc Brake: The non-asbestos self-adjusting disc brake is applied automatically when the air supply to the hoist is shut off. This unique brake is self-adjusting for the entire lifecycle of the brake and is capable of holding more than 125% of the stated working load limit.
Integral Silencer: Each unit is built with an exhaust air silencer into the gearbox housing, limiting any noise to below 83dB(A).
Load Chain: The high-quality Grade 8 load chain, compliant with SANS/ISO 3077 and EN818-7 App. A, ensures that strict high-speed duty cycles can be maintained.
Vane Motor: Assisted vane lifting ensures maximum starting torque every time when starting under load.

ATEX Certification: Each unit is manufactured in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. They are also suitable for ATEX Category 3 – normal safety.
Tiger products are assigned as follows: ATEX Marking: EX II 3 GD c IIB T4 IIIB T135°C. Suitable for gas and dust hazardous areas: Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 22 (dust). Unlike electric chain hoists, air-driven hoists do not produce any sparks making them also suitable for explosion-hazardous areas.
Hook Options: Various hook options are available for the Twin Hook models. These included Standard, Closed Eye, Grab, and Self-Locking.
Pendant Control Options: These air hoists are supplied with variable control E/stop pendant and the option of the twist grip E/stop pendant, providing users with perfect control in both direction. Toggle controls are also available on request.
