HOLE-IN-ONE FOR LIFTING EQUIPMENT STORE
For those of you who play golf, there’s no better feeling than driving a clean ball off a tee. The joy you get, the sweet unmistakable ping, the happiness of landing on the smooth fairway. And when LES most recently crossed paths with the world of professional golf, the ecstatic feeling was all but the same, although for very different reasons.
Not all of you may have heard of Trump International Scotland, but we can hazard a guess that you know who owns it. A luxurious five-star hotel and championship links golf course in Aberdeen, Trump International has held many a prestigious PGA event over the years, welcoming the likes of golfing legends and Royalty along the way.
Set in the great dunes of Scotland, this spectacular golf course embraces the Aberdeenshire coastline, showcasing the finest that north of the border has to offer – it’s the epitome of luxury.
So where does Lifting Equipment Store come into the fold?
Well, the maintenance staff on the golf course were experiencing issues when lifting the heavy industrial equipment needed to keep the course in its pristine condition. Lifting aids were required to ease the pressure on the staff, reducing potentially life-changing stress on bodies and joints.
Undertaking a quick search online, Ian Smithson of Trump Golf, come across Lifting Equipment Store UK and easily found an item of interest in our portfolio, but was seeking further information and clarity on his selection to decide whether it was the right fit for their requirement.
Contacting our sales office, Ian come across our very own Ashley Griffiths on the other end of the line, who, as always, was happy to assist with a query. In fact, Ash was just the person Ian could speak to, as it turned out he had a keen interest in golf himself, and let’s not forget that he knows more than a thing or two about lifting equipment.
Following an extensive chat, Ian realised that he had gained all the valuable information that he called for, and made the decision to purchase one of our excellent 125kg capacity freestanding over-braced jib cranes, accompanied by a Yale CPS electric chain hoist.
From initial inquiry, through to receiving the order, took only three weeks to the delight of Trump International. Since, we have received feedback on the order, with the customer saying that they are very happy with the items and that the overall service was impeccable – which was music to the ears of us here at LES. In golf terms, you could say we have hit an albatross.
