Liftking 1,000kg Duplex Webbing Sling, 1m to 10m EWL
The Liftking 1,000kg / 1 tonne duplex webbing sling is a lightweight polyester lifting sling designed for general maintenance, workshop lifting, light industrial handling and delicate load movement. With a 1,000kg working load limit, reinforced becket eyes and a 7:1 factor of safety, it offers a practical soft lifting solution where chain or wire rope could mark, scratch or damage the load surface.
Manufactured from flat woven 100% polyester, this 1 tonne webbing sling is colour coded purple for fast WLL identification on site. It is easy to handle, simple to store and suitable for indoor and outdoor lifting environments when selected and used correctly. Each sling is manufactured to EN1492-1:2000, certified to TUV and GS standard, and supplied with a certificate of conformity.
Common Uses for a 1 Tonne Webbing Sling
This 1,000kg duplex webbing sling is well suited to garages, workshops, maintenance departments, light engineering, small machinery handling, HVAC work and routine lifting where load protection is important. It is a popular choice for engineers and riggers who need a compact, flexible lifting strop for everyday low capacity lifts.
Typical applications include lifting small machinery, workshop equipment, plant components, fabricated parts and loads with finished or delicate surfaces. The soft polyester webbing helps spread pressure across the load, making it a suitable alternative to chain slings or wire rope slings in applications where surface marking is a concern.
Lifting Hitches and Capacity Guidance
Straight Lift
Suitable for vertical lifting up to the rated WLL shown on the sling label.
Basket Hitch
Can be used where the load is correctly balanced and supported. Always refer to the sling label and load chart before lifting.
Choke Hitch
Can reduce the effective lifting capacity. Always check the sling label, lifting plan and correct hitch factor before use.
LOLER Inspection and Safe Use
Under LOLER, lifting accessories such as webbing slings should be thoroughly examined by a competent person every 6 months, unless a written examination scheme specifies a different interval. A pre-use visual inspection should also be carried out before every lift.
Check the sling for cuts, tears, abrasion, damaged stitching, chemical contamination, heat damage, illegible labels or any signs of fibre deterioration. Do not use the sling if the label is missing or unreadable, if the sling has been overloaded, or if there is visible damage. Use suitable edge protection when lifting loads with sharp corners or abrasive surfaces.
